Sheikh Dahiru Usman Bauchi Dies at Over 100

Renowned Islamic scholar, Sheikh Dahiru Usman Bauchi, has passed away after a prolonged illness, a family source confirmed on Thursday.

The revered cleric, widely regarded as one of Nigeria’s most influential Islamic figures, was said to be over 100 years old at the time of his death.

Sheikh Dahiru Bauchi, leader of one of the largest Tijjaniyya communities in West Africa, was known for his decades-long contribution to Islamic scholarship, Qur’anic teaching, and peace advocacy across Nigeria and beyond.
