Gamzaki Traders Association leaders in Adamawa State have embarked on a consultative tour of the New Market in Numan Local Government Area, where they unveiled plans to strengthen the integration of local marketers into the association’s state-wide framework.
The delegation, led by senior officials including State Secretary Alhaji Usman Jalo, Assistant Chairman Alhaji Gambo Uban Nura, and other executives, was warmly received by the Acting Chairman of the Numan New Market wing, Alhaji Baba Mijinyawa, alongside his team.
During the visit, the Assistant Chairman emphasized the association’s influence as one of the strongest bodies representing marketers in Adamawa, urging traders in Numan and Demsa to register.
He noted that the association already has members across all 21 local government areas, giving it a unique capacity to protect the interests and welfare of its members.
He commended the local acting leadership for their efforts in mobilizing new members, stressing that their work would ensure the association becomes fully active in Numan and Demsa.
The State Secretary further called on the acting leaders to organize a formal inauguration ceremony for new members, involving traditional leaders from Numan and Demsa as well as representatives of the Nigerian Police Force to enhance safety in market operations.
He also presented 120 registration forms for new members from the two local government areas.
In his response, Acting Chairman Alhaji Baba Mijinyawa expressed gratitude to the visiting leaders and pledged to align with the association’s guiding rules and regulations.
He assured them of his readiness to foster a peaceful and cordial atmosphere for marketers in Numan and Demsa.
Highlights of the meeting included the introduction of the acting leaders by Acting Secretary Justin Nathaniel, submission of 120 completed registration forms, and discussions on pressing issues related to membership registration and market organization.
The visit marked a significant step toward consolidating the presence of the Gamzaki Traders Association in Numan and Demsa, with a clear focus on unity, safety, and the welfare of marketers across Adamawa State.
