A governorship aspirant of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Adamawa State, Senator Aminu Iya Abbas, has reiterated his determination to contest the party’s primary election, declaring that he will not step down for any aspirant.
Abbas made the statement while addressing journalists in Yola, where he dismissed speculations about possible candidate imposition within the party.
He described himself as a grassroots politician with a strong electoral track record, noting that he is fully prepared to face any contender in a free and fair primary.
The senator emphasized that his ambition is driven by a desire to serve, expressing confidence that he has the support needed to emerge as the party’s candidate.
He also assured party members and supporters of his commitment to democratic principles, stressing that the APC primary should reflect the will of its members.
