Borno State Governor, Prof. Babagana Umara Zulum, and foremost businessman Mohammed Indimi commiserated with the government and people of Adamawa State over the demise of Prof. Jibril Aminu, praying to God to grant him eternal peace.
During their condolence visit to Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri in the Government House, Yola, Tuesday, the duo described the late Professor Aminu as one of their own in Borno State, noting that his contributions to the development and growth of education in Borno State and Nigeria cannot be overemphasized.
In response, Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri thanked the delegation for the visit, describing the loss of Prof. Jibril Aminu as a great tragedy not only to Adamawa but to the nation as a whole.
The Governor prayed for the continued strengthening of the mutual relationship between Adamawa and Borno states for the benefit of the people and the Northeast in general.
The late Professor Aminu, an erudite scholar and politician, passed away on Thursday, January 5, 2025, after a brief illness, at the age of 85.
