Jama’atul Izalatul Bidi’a Wa’iqamatussunnah (JIBWIS) Numan, in the Demsa local government area of Adamawa State, has supported a total of 409 orphans through its annual orphanage program.
The chairman of the Committee, Alhaji Lawan Adamu, addressed attendees at the event, explaining that this year’s program included 174 male orphans, 224 female orphans, and 11 vulnerable individuals.
He noted that various foodstuffs, including rice, as well as clothing, were distributed to those selected according to the processes established by the Committee.
Lawan highlighted that there has been significant improvement in the Committee’s activities compared to previous years, attributing this progress to public support and the tireless efforts of the JIBWIS orphanage committee.
In their remarks, the Chairmen of JIBWIS Numan and Demsa, Alhaji Shuaibu Inuwa Shelleng and Alhaji Hammadu Barau, commended the generosity of the general public, emphasizing their contributions to the success of the orphanage program.
They stated that the initiative has made substantial progress and expressed hope to reach out to more families and vulnerable individuals in Numan and Demsa.
Additionally, Sheikh Sabiu Rafin Dadi, a special guest conducting this year’s Ramadan Tafsir in the Numan and Demsa local government areas, praised the orphanage committee for their diligent efforts in identifying those in need of urgent support.
He remarked that the unwavering commitment of the committee and its contributors will undoubtedly attract great rewards from Allah Almighty.
Rafin Dadi further encouraged individuals to consider starting small home-based businesses to help meet the basic needs of some orphans.
