Gombe Government Distributes 50 Security Vehicles to Enhance Statewide Safety

In a significant move to bolster security operations, the Gombe State Government has distributed 50 fully equipped operational and surveillance vehicles to various security agencies. This initiative, led by Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, aims to enhance mobility and response capabilities, ensuring the safety of lives and property across the state.

The formal handover ceremony coincided with a ‘Show of Force’ exercise conducted by security agencies to reassure residents and deter criminal activities. Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, Col. Abdullahi Bello (rtd), emphasized that these vehicles address longstanding logistical challenges and reaffirm the government’s commitment to maintaining Gombe’s status as one of Nigeria’s most peaceful states.

Col. Bello urged residents to carry on with their daily activities without fear, assuring them of the proactive stance of security operatives in clamping down on criminal activities.

Director-General of the Gombe State Security, Traffic, and Environmental Corps (GOSTEC), ACP Ibrahim Bappah (rtd), expressed gratitude for the governor’s support and pledged effective utilization of the vehicles to enhance security operations.

This development follows Gombe State’s recent 2nd Security Summit, themed “Building a Safer and More Secure Gombe State: Addressing Insecurity Through Collective Action,” where stakeholders commended Governor Yahaya’s leadership and security strategies for fostering a peaceful environment conducive to business and economic development.

By strengthening security frameworks, the Gombe State Government reaffirms its commitment to maintaining stability and creating a conducive environment for growth and investment.
