The Faculty of Social Sciences at the Federal University of Kashere (FUK) on Tuesday, February 3, 2026, held a send-forth programme in honour of its outgoing Vice-Chancellor, Professor Umaru A. Pate. The event took place at the University’s Entrepreneurship Centre.
In his remarks, Professor Pate reflected on his tenure, outlining major achievements and milestones recorded under his leadership. He stressed the importance of effective leadership, institutional growth, and maintaining high academic standards. He also shared practical guidance with faculty members on securing international research grants.
The programme featured an academic session, including a faculty retreat on “How to Win International Grants.” Certificates of Excellence and commemorative awards were presented to Professor Pate in recognition of his contributions to the university.
