Fintiri Hands Over Patrol Vehicles, Reaffirms Dedication to Security and Stability 

Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, has handed over newly acquired Nigerian-made operational Hilux patrol vehicles to security agencies to boost their operations in the ongoing fight against insecurity across the state.

The handing-over ceremony, held at the Government House in Yola, was attended by Governor Fintiri, his Deputy, Prof. Kaletapwa Farauta, top government officials, and heads of security agencies.

Speaking at the ceremony, Governor Fintiri commended the collective efforts of security agencies, noting that their dedication has earned Adamawa the reputation of being one of the most peaceful states in Nigeria. He said the provision of the patrol vehicles is intended to further strengthen their capacity and serve as motivation as they continue to safeguard lives and property.

He explained that sustaining peace in the state has required continuous government investment and unwavering collaboration with security operatives. While acknowledging the prevailing peace in the state, he emphasized that the journey to achieving stability has been neither easy nor automatic.

Governor Fintiri assured that his administration will continue to support security personnel with logistics and other necessary tools to enable them to effectively carry out their duties, especially at a time when the nation faces heightened security challenges.

According to the Governor, the improved security landscape in Adamawa has made the state a preferred destination for investors. He encouraged both local and foreign investors to take advantage of the peaceful environment created through the partnership between government and security agencies.

He further noted the cordial relationship between the state government and security formations, pledging to sustain it to ensure that residents continue to “sleep with their two eyes closed.”

Responding on behalf of the state’s security chiefs, Brigade Commander Brig. Gen. Ogbonnaya Amechi Agwu expressed gratitude to the Governor for backing his words with action. He said the gesture will greatly enhance the morale of frontline personnel and boost ongoing efforts to tackle security threats.

Gen. Agwu noted that the deployment of the vehicles will significantly improve mobility, rapid response, and operational efficiency in addressing criminal activities across the state.
