Ahmed Tijjani Galadima has emerged as the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate in Adamawa State ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The primary election, conducted under the supervision of the APC national committee, concluded on Friday with Galadima securing a decisive victory. Chairman of the electoral committee, Professor Innocent Bariko, announced that Galadima polled 414,444 votes, outpacing his rivals by a wide margin.
Abdurrazak Namdas finished second with 86,004 votes, while Absurrahman Bashir Haske came third with 65,424 votes.
The exercise, which drew delegates from across the state, was held under tight security and was described by party officials as transparent and credible. Supporters of Galadima celebrated the outcome immediately after the official declaration, hailing it as a fair reflection of the will of the delegates.
